Probably works great
It's hard to write a review of biological media because how do you know what works and what doesn't when using multiple types of media? What I'm saying is that I tried a test where you dip the end of a dry piece into a small amount of water and watch it soak up the water. It was impressive. I bought this on the recommendation of a guy who makes a "pump my filter" video on YouTube. So I think it will work fine on my system with multiple filter media.
