In general the elevator works well for its money. However, there is a ridiculous design flaw in the guard bar. The bar only works if you place it upside down as shown in the picture. Also, the legs of the bar do not touch the notches of the latch that protrude from the base. I took this item to my local welder and he welded on the bracket slots that actually engaged the rear bracket. Works great now. Really stupid mistake but easy to fix, you have a local welder. There are other elevators for a similar price that may not have this small flaw.
