Review on Cordiant Off Road 205/70 R16 97Q summer by Micha Ambroziak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didn't expect the quality to be so high.

This rubber was bought for use on my Nissan Niva as I embark on my unusual hobby of off-roading. I was honestly anticipating considerably poorer performance on the asphalt with mud tires. These Cordians have far surpassed my wildest dreams; they stop and steer with pinpoint precision and are surprisingly quiet compared to other M/T. They have a sturdy base and sidewalls that perform admirably on stones and light soils, and they perform effectively in liquid clay and peat for their size and class. I have purchased these before, and I plan to do so again because they are a great value. While the most popular size for Nivovods and Jimnivods is 215/75 15 - classic 28 ", the company releases 27" - 205/70 16, which is an analogue of their own size 215/65 16 - that is, the same 27" - why? This bizarre approach to sizes is depressing, as only off-road and outdoor enthusiasts will buy such tires, as there are not so many SUVs capable of moving off-road in the world. This rubber, like any other M / T, should not be purchased for "show-offs" who plan to occasionally venture off the asphalt in favor of the dirt road leading to their dacha; they will not like it, since it is noisy, heavy, and consumes more benz than they are accustomed to. Even if you're a "jeeper" (aka a "athlete") and you don't like it, you'll still go out and get some extremely large tires (that won't let you go faster than 70 mph on asphalt) anyhow. But if you like going to remote, uncharted locations where you have to wave a thousand or two people down the road before the pavement ends, or if you're a hunter or fisherman who has to go out of town, then this rubber is for you.

Pros
  • The topic of this letter is 215/65/16. Gorgeous mud tires that won't break the bank. It's comparable to its foreign counterparts in terms of driving qualities, durability, and wear resistance.
Cons
  • The odd policy of their look and the limited size of their dimensions.
