This is a good device. Easy to use, comes with three sets of plates: waffle, grill, sandwich. They are easy to attach and detach. There is no dedicated power button. Connect. Two indicators light up, red and green. When the green light turns off, the grill is hot. The temperature is not adjustable, there is no timer. Disconnect to disable. It cooks evenly and the result is delicious. My first experiment was waffles. There are no guidelines for cooking time. First, it's trial and error. The instructions are sufficient. I love the versatility of this grill. It's fast enough and the results are very good.
