Plastic handle broke into pieces within seconds of being removed from the packaging. It's clearly not designed to support the full weight of the reflector when held vertically at arm's length. You can feel everything spinning under control. I doubt the ring would have lasted much longer than the pin. We ended up sending it back the same day and bought the Westcott Metal Ones at B&H for about $50 without the handle. In any case, it's not really necessary. The reflector material is okay, but the gold is too crazy. The lighter gold chevron pattern on Westcott gives more subtle tones. If you can do without a flimsy handle and don't mind changing that thing every few years, go for it.
