After reading some reviews in magazines and websites I decided to give it a try (mainly because of the great reviews it has for the range). I bought three of these and installed them to connect our wired network from the main church to the MC building and the third WG102 was connected to the other end of the bridge and acted as an access point in the MC building for customers. I was very happy with the results, but as a disclaimer I have to point out that it didn't turn out MUCH good. The big things about it were: 1) Lack of service. Zero. They have now been in service for nine months. I'm only finally writing this review because I'm willing to buy another one to provide a wireless hotspot at a church. I didn't even have to restart any of these hotspots. We've had power outages and never had to intervene to get the bridge or hotspot working again. 2) Very good customer connection reliability: although the MC building has many walls and distances, and the signal strength is low. In many places we have no problems connecting clients. 3) The two WAPS intended for the bridge do not require any special antennas. We started this project with the full expectation that we would need to purchase external antennas for each of the bridge's access points. However, the buildings are so close together that this isn't necessary, even though the access points of both bridges are closer to the center of each building. It was a big surprise. Tip - ALWAYS update to the latest firmware when purchasing IT equipment. This eliminates another potential source of problems. Since a major firmware update was available for this product on the Netgear website, I updated all three devices without trying the current version first. It probably saved me from the headaches that others have experienced.
