I don't like writing bad reviews but this review needs to get published. I used this hair dryer all the time. I've been a stylist for 38 years. He's doing his job. Its light weight, the settings are easy to use, it has a lot of power, it's usually durable, it lasts a very long time, but something doesn't seem right with who makes them now. I think this is my third dryer in at least a year. . The last thing I ordered was about a month ago because I was in the same situation today as I was then. Something smells when using it. smell of smoke or melting. You can't turn it off because the switch is too loose, so you have to panic unplug it so you can drain a possible electrical event. That never happened last year. Quality is an issue right now because I've been dependent on this dryer for most of my career and now I can't. On rare occasions I've tried others, but always come back to this one. Revain's customer service was excellent and quickly resolved my replacement issue. The buyer is wary of the reliability of this product. It's not as well made as it used to be. It used to take years. Now? A few months at best.
