I had a Sherwin Williams 5 gallon paint can (I don't know why every 5 gallon paint can comes without a spout) I couldn't install them without a rubber mallet once I put it on I was able to pour the paint but it flowed out very slowly. When I needed a lid for another 5 gallon bucket of paint I had to use a tool to remove the lid and it was actually very difficult to remove. I had a 5 gallon bullseye primer that came with a cap which I unscrewed (to remove) and used a screw on the spout, it was much better.
