My fan was making a terrible noise. I was a bit hesitant to replace it myself, but since my laptop is older and the fan is cheap, I figured I had nothing to lose. With the help of YouTube videos that helped me open up my laptop, I was able to disassemble the case fairly easily using just a small Phillips screwdriver. The old fan was covered with dust. My only problem was that I didn't pay enough attention to the orientation of the fan connector when I pulled it out. There are no instructions included with the new fan. I had trouble connecting the new fan, but then I found that the connector was upside down. When I flipped it over, it clicked correctly after several tries. The plugin is very small so be careful when removing it or use some sort of zoom. I ended up with an extra screw but the laptop works great! I have an HP 15 laptop and it fits perfectly.
