This mount holds my bike securely, but as it's designed to hold a round top tube, modern wide top frames twist the bike out the bracket a bit. My upper bars are about 2 inches wide (carbon) and the PowerFly manufacturer should consider modernizing the tube fittings. I installed the mount at 8ft 4in x 4in on the patio which makes it very stable. The four mounting screws provided are standard Philips sockets, so I went to the hardware store and bought heavier hex head screws that I could drive in with my drill. Now I'm sure this mount will never drop my bike. I set mine at about shoulder height to allow the bike chain to fit just below my chest for bike maintenance. Good quality product!
