Review on DuPont WFPFC5002 Universal Cartridge 2 Pack by Kenny Kowalewski

Fitted a new submersible pump and very quickly rust began to appear on the surface of the filter. Before water softening, there was only one filter. After a week, the water began to have an unpleasant taste. Pulled out and cut the filter. It was completely painted with rust. I decided to install a dual cartridge with a DuPont Series 500 as a pre-filter. Within a week in a family of three, the second filter began to turn red, indicating the pre-filter was already saturated. I think the main problem is that I have this 10 micron filter. I need 5m more and try again. I think if sediment is an issue they should work just fine. In my case, it's useless for rust prevention. I have now added an additional 5 micron carbon block after the water softener to deal with anything that comes past my dual unit.
