I'm a bit fanatical about my home but especially my kitchen. I have a hard time removing the heavy iron screens to clean them, the burners and the small areas around the burners. I really hate aluminum burner bibs. Even the good ones look cheap. My (gas) stove is black, so I tried these stove protectors. They were easy to trim to fit the burners exactly and go wall to wall. Tip: Use your razor blade very carefully to mark where you need to cut, finish with a good pair of scissors or paper cutters. I have a rectangular center burner that I wanted to close. Using 2 lids I cut them in half, trimmed them for the burner and just overlapped them instead of measuring and cutting and was able to put 2 on each side. Thus, 99% of the middle part is covered without false seams. Covers can be wiped in place. In the event of dirt, they can be easily removed for cleaning in the sink. Haven't tried it in the dishwasher yet as I rarely use it. If I wash them in the dishwasher and there are problems I will update the review.
