I bought this USB fan for one purpose only; left on my desk behind the router and cable modem to be air cooled in a very hot room (no air conditioning!). I could plug the USB into a nearby computer, but I opted for the included power adapter to plug directly into an outlet. I've had it a long time and it's quiet enough not to notice the work and it works by retaining the intended electronics, it tends to be nice and cool which extends its lifespan. Worth a small investment. And at this price I don't care if it faltered today. I would just buy another one. For me it is a good investment for my purpose and I already feel that I have benefited greatly from it. Will it work to cool you down? Of course I don't see why not. It's a fan, after all. Has a nice metal frame and swivels up and down at an angle. TO UPDATE. This fan is still running. It works 24/7 and in 1 year and 3 months there hasn't been a failure! Made exactly how I needed it. I'm sticking with my original rating above. :)
