This is my first expensive processor that I have ever bought. However, if you can afford to buy it, I highly recommend it. In this case I recommend LGA 1155 IVY Bridge processors for your build, preferably Intel Core i7 LGA1155 3.5GHz. I'm a bit of an enthusiast so not a very big gamer so this processor is enough if not more than enough power for what I need it for. Excellent processor, 6 cores with 12 threads, which makes it twice as fast as the Core i7-3770K. similar to a dual-core Pentium. I'm not criticizing the 3770K, after overclocking it's pretty good. The only downside to this processor (3930K) is that it doesn't come with a heatsink/fan. So before you buy, make sure you have a good cooling system, especially if you plan on overclocking. Works pretty well with the L1 and L2 caches, which are extremely important as they determine the amount of data transferred between the processor and your graphics card, memory, etc. 4.8 GHz runs smoothly at 34 to 40 degrees in standby mode) ASUS SABERTOOTH X79 graphics card-EVGA GeForce GTX460 SE (FERMI) in SLI mode PSU-CORSAIR 850W Gold CertifiedOptical Drive-LITEON BLU-RAY Burner and DVD DriveBoot drive-Munchkin CHRONOS 120GB SSDTower - Cooler Master HAF 922-XM MID Tower (pretty cool tower) Cooling - CORSAIR H80 Liquid Cooling (pretty good for overclocking) OS - Windows 7 Professional GENERAL WINDOWS 7.8
