Trouble landing upside down.

Phenomenal sound. Let's make a note of this first. Bass is on par, if not better, than the Fostex X00, except the sub-bass is slightly less due to the x00's semi-closed drivers, which helps extend it deeper. However, 40 Hz and higher are very similar. Enjoy this Spotify playlist from the Lithuanian HQ. The singing is perfect for me. Weighty and full-bodied male vocals with every breath and every syllable in perfect presence. They have no shortage of singing. It's rare for headphones to make vocals sound like speakers, and they've nailed that pretty well. Compared to my homemade Continuum speakers, similar to the LS35/A, the vocals sound very smooth and clear. The high frequencies are great. No piercings or missing details. Compared to the DT1990, which I had to compare side by side, the trebles are not as high as the DT1990, but the DT1990, unlike the DT990, didn't hurt my ears at all. It's just that he's been more hospitable on Phoenix for a long time. The sound stage is missing. Larger than the HD58x and HD600/650 I own, which are notorious for their small soundstage. They are worth playing. The picture suffers due to the lack of a sound stage. I randomly move my mouse over an object I hear in a video game to see how close I can get the mouse to the sound. Pretty poor test, but this is my personal test that I do out of sheer luck with all the headphones I use. There will be a rooster screaming that his lungs are ripping out of his body and here I am just going to test how close I can get my tone to match the L/R to the center of the rooster and I noticed that I had to hover slowly mouse pointer and still not found. The same goes for other sounds in other games. I had to follow up to find or get a center. Unlike DT1990. I will compare with cheaper headphones around the phoenix. Let's say Fidelio X2. I could get closer and closer to the sounds and center them better and faster. It's hard to compare them to other headphones in this price range because I've kind of strayed from $200 headphones because they've always kind of lacked real sound quality. With the X00 and DT1990sx, they are at the top of this price range for sound quality alone. The only thing these pricier headphones have compared to the Phoenix is the soundstage. Apart from Beyer, these are absolutely reliable devices in terms of build quality. The build quality on them is excellent. However, both of my ear pads never came back after I took them off to see if they could be changed. The earpads are bonded to connector rings that are much smaller in diameter compared to the openings found on most aftermarket earpads. However, you can remove the ear pads and just use a wooden lip to grab the earbuds if you want, but they can stretch, loosen and twist a bit. You can use some glue or something else to use the plug from a standard headphone jack so that it stays in place when plugged into the headphone jack. If you're just trying to slip in and twist, it doesn't have the grip to stay in place and just threads itself in and out of the female end when you barely lift it back up. Another big issue is where the yolk meets the yolk. Headphones. The yolk cannot penetrate any further because the rim of the pinna that stops it is very thin. So when you use thicker ear pads, the underside of the pads will push your earlobes outward without creating a snug fit and more pressure on the temporal regions near the top of your ears. Even if you stretch the headband and lower the cups to compensate, the ear cups can't even move in from the bottom. If the part of the yolk that is screwed into the wooden cup is shifted backwards a little, this is not a problem or a great help. The headband fit me well and the earcups weren't too flat, but definitely need to be deeper for better comfort. I've never had an earache or anything that I'm very sensitive to. I have ear pads on my ears or the inside of the driver rests against my ear as this causes fatigue after almost 15 minutes. The DT1990 Analysis Pads were too stiff for me and created pressure points on my temples and jaw that caused me pain in those areas even when the headband was loosened. Everyone feels different, so take my comfort issues with a grain of salt. Even when the internal speaker rests lightly against my ear, it never causes any issues or pain like the HD600 did for me, and they barely touch the inside of my left ear. . These phoenixes won't do any harm though. These are just amazing headphones, perfect sound quality for me. However, the lack of a sound stage in games took all the fun out of it.
