Don't let the thin claws fool you. 6000 lbs V8 Front Coils

I bought BMW 745Li front coilovers too compressed to avoid dropping the entire lower suspension to change the wheel bearings and I had to they unfortunately turn over bolts with a pinch. in the front luggage rack. I definitely wouldn't recommend or suggest this, but due to the limited workspace of having to use them upside down, I was only able to get one of the sides of the claws to grip/support the bottom of the actual strut plate and the actual spring. seated, and several times it was just one of two grippers holding a 70% compressed coil spring. Very unsafe, make sure you apply equal pressure to both claws on each side. but if you look at these little things and think they're small and the claws are small and maybe cheap, well, now you know they were held in place by coil springs in the front of a 6,000-pound V8 car, so are they certainly many other cars can handle it, just be safe, wear safety goggles and use them properly

Pros
  • โœ… STRONG GRIP: This is dangerous work, so the Shankly strut compressor is equipped with special claws that increase safety by wrapping around the coils for a secure grip. Slide the scroll compressor securely into the spring for quick and easy installation
Cons
  • There are new competitors
