punches are sharp, thick enough for 9-11 oz leather, and different sizes make it easy to prep holes for sewing straight or curved stitches. I particularly like how the cuts it punches into the leather are angled, which I think makes the seam stronger than other punches I've used that make parallel cuts. I used it to make an archery quiver. The pictures I have included show the effect of using this product and not the product itself. I should also mention that the hole punches in the first picture were home made ones that I made to decorate leather not this product that Punched holes for seams.
