I love how my gelding Morgana takes this bit easily without pulling her head back during the bridle. I bought this to replace a standard full cheek snaffle that had a V groove carved into its tongue. Because the joint acts like a nutcracker! A cylindrical roller in the middle of the cutter prevents this. There are two ways to attach the reins - the usual way of slipping them around the ring, or they can be attached through a slot on the D-ring. I use it like this. It offers a very elegant communication with a soft hand.
