Two side by side - CINERAMA!

I know I date the term Cinerama. For those of you too young to know what it is, it was one of the first widescreen film formats in the early 50's (even I wasn't there then). The filmmakers will shoot the film with three cameras mounted side-by-side in an arc and shown in the theaters with three projectors side-by-side on an ultra-wide curved screen. The end result was an almost 180 degree image. Much wider than today. You had to turn your head to see the whole picture. The only problem was that there were really noticeable "lines" where the frames met on the screen. Rent How the West Was Won and you can see the stitching. Anyway, enough of that. The reason I mentioned this is because these amazing 19 inch gateway monitors are so affordable that I could buy two of them and use them side by side to expand my desktop. Image quality, contrast and response time are all exceptional. I've never had any problems with any of the monitors. DVDs look great and HD content looks great. I might even buy another one and set it up so I can display each How the West Was Won panel on its own monitor! :-)
