I have tried several replacements for my 6C Bialetti that after over 10 years and an unfortunate event I finally had to give up :). All others were difficult to use, did not produce palatable results, and/or produced no different results. This one isn't exactly perfect (it's a little tricky to clean the top chamber, I couldn't get it to use all the water in the bottom chamber - there's just enough left that the top chamber level doesn't quite rise all the way up and spills a few tablespoons of "coffee water" when you flip the lower chamber (camera to remove a piece of coffee grounds), but compared to many other stainless steel options, this is the only one that didn't draw me to the 6C Bialetti sent back. I *do not* recommend using the handle to screw/unscrew the top down - it's easy enough to unscrew by simply holding it and prevents the handle from shifting on the road. When removing the coffee grounds basket after use, simply tip the base sideways upside down and it falls out easily (I do this over a compost bin). Also, clean the top chamber immediately after use to avoid coffee residue that's difficult to remove by other means (the included brush *fits* it if you press at just the right angle).
