Review on Iceberg Thermal DRIFTIce Thermal Pad: Enhanced Cooling Performance, 80mm x 40mm x 2.0mm by Stoyan Stoyanov ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I really like the product, it fully meets my expectations.

For the RX 5700XT, I bought two sizes of termuhi: 1 mm and 1.5 mm. Because of the card's well-known heating capabilities, switching thermal interfaces was immediately advantageous after purchase. I regrettably didn't take any photos, but I had to do a lot of research on the Internet to determine the thickness of the thermal pads on my card. While I was waiting for the delivery, I collected my thoughts and decided to perform an autopsy on the patient. If someone were to look up the RX5700XT's thermal pads' thickness, they would find that they are: - 1mm - for memory chips, there are 8 of them; You can still apply on several of the same little chips behind the VRM zone, but the thickness there should be 0.75mm instead of 1.5mm. I don't know what they are called or what function they provide, but you'll see. I quickly made an undervolt after replacing the termuhi, lowering the frequency to 1950 MHz and the voltage from 1200 to 1020 (the artifacts are below). I achieved consistent temperatures of 62 degrees on the chip and 74 on the hotspot at 178 frames per second in the FurMark test at FullHD quality without anti-aliasing. In my instance, the outcome was better than I had hoped for and amazed me with how powerful even the weakest AMD card can be. For those who are still unsure, unsure, or hesitant to access the video card, we advise you to do this because it is really vital. The card will delight you with silence and low temperatures, and you will enjoy stable FPS in games, so you must take and spend money on decent thermal paste and thermal pads. There is fear and blood coming from the eyes on the photographs in the comments where individuals have layered thermal pads on an entire row of memory chips. You're not required to do that! Avoid being careless; carefully cut the thermocouple to fit and install it on each chip. Since you verified everything, I hope that my rating will be helpful. May the chilly weather favor you!

Pros
  • + Soft material + Sticky composition that is just the right amount of sticky + 13 W/mK thermal conductivity at a reasonable price
Cons
  • - These thermal pads cost significantly more on the Ya. Market than they do in the same online commerce - Thermal pads cost a lot in general.
