Bought a Cardone Select axle (driver's side front) for a 2004 Honda CRV to replace a damaged original axle that was causing a slight vibration when accelerating from a standstill. After replacement, this new one caused more vibration at all speeds. After disassembling and examining this new Cardone axle, I found that the outer hinge was defective (it had a lot of play and was easy to pull completely out of the hinge). On the advice of an auto mechanic, I was recommended to buy it from NAPA Auto Parts. I (reluctantly) followed the advice, paid $85 for this Cardone Select (NAPA brand), installed it and everything worked great. So it would be premature to say that they don't meet the quality control standards of those bought from auto parts stores, but I thought I'd share my experience.
