Review on ๐Ÿ”ง 37157 OESpectrum Shock Absorber by Monroe Shocks & Struts by Drew Beckett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Nothing wrong with that, good for Shocks, Struts & Suspensions

I ordered these shocks and was concerned in previous reviews that parts would be missing. I don't have a workshop to do repairs, it's just my garage and my truck is my daily driver. When I got my shocks, nothing was missing. Using only a jack and stands, I removed my old factory shocks from my 3rd generation (1998) Toyota 4Runner and two new rear shocks in about an hour and a half, not knowing ahead of time that I was going to be replacing the rear shocks. Can't say these are amazing shocks but they are a marvel compared to the 14 year old factory shocks that I removed. The truck now drives exactly as it should, no better or worse. Considering they cost about $40 for a shock I can only give them a 5 star rating. I don't know how long they will last but I bought them a week ago and did two lane driving last weekend and they work great. They are nothing compared to high quality aftermarket shocks, but they are nothing compared to the price of high quality aftermarket shocks either. Conclusion: If you are looking for factory-like shock absorbers at a very competitive price, this is it. Looking for. For on-road and light off-road use, they offer the quality of rebound and cushioning you need. You can spend $600 on a set of OME or Bilstein shocks if you need them, but if you just want something that works, buy two of them. Please note that a lot is one damper, you need to buy two for a complete rear set.
