I wanted a lightweight glass pitcher with a lid that would also look good in my modern decor. It's just perfect! From the reviews I was expecting it to be smaller but it's surprisingly the same size as my Brita Krug (see photo) but thin enough to take up half the space. Although I use it for cool drinking water, I poured hot water into it. from my tap (see photo). Note that the water is not boiling, but is hot enough for condensation to form. While the jug was warm, the handle didn't get hot and I was comfortable using it. Received many compliments for its sleek design as it looks beautiful on both dark and light backgrounds. Like it a lot! Advantages: Elegant and modern design. Compact enough for a bedside table or small table top. Tight silicone lid. Grids in the lid help prevent spills. Easy cleaning. Cons: None
