I do not recommend - wireless scanner

2 months and already useless and I just missed the return deadline. It was a learning experience, and not a very good one. No more Unidens for me - the quality has obviously left the house. The batteries that come with this little fool last a couple of hours and then go back to the charger. Boo - bad. I always had to put AA alkaline batteries in - the batteries were always in the charger. I'm no newbie to electronics - I'm an FCC licensed ham radio operator and invest megabucks in gear. But this radio is far more intense than it should be in the programming arena. I spent $50 programming software for this thing and now this bling is going to the landfill because it won't work even after two factory resets. Can't even do simple things like adjust volume or squelch or access menus. are we having fun yet My advice to the adventurous: buy with your eyes wide open. you have been warned

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Expensive
