So I just bought one and spent all day trying to figure it out. The packaging states that the flashlight supports WPA/WPA 2 encryption as stated on the packaging. The problem I had was that the light kept finding and losing my current networks. I tried using both the Windows software and the iOS app. Everything I've tried hasn't worked. I restarted my network, restarted several times, reinstalled software on my computer and phone app, nothing helped. Then I tried setting my router to not use encryption, WPA and WPA2 and still nothing. The light simply refused to connect to my home network. I dug up my old router from college (about 8 years ago) on a whim and to my surprise it worked right away. This was the only way I could successfully combine light and work. However, using that old router means my internet was scanned even though the download was 160Mbps and the upload was 80Mbps. I could set up two routers, one just for light and one for home internet, but that seems unnecessary and backward. So I'm giving back the light. In this light, I consider the technology to be obsolete. A lot of people had the same problems with it. It's a shame to be honest, but until they come out with a better version that connects via Bluetooth, for example, instead of a Wi-Fi network, I'll be looking elsewhere for my lighting setup.
