READ THIS REVIEW! This product is not good. I have to do a video review to show how terribly controversial this is. I've plugged it in now, and first of all I don't even know if they sent it for iPhone or Android considering the "CarPlay" menu when I want the mirror to ask me to plug in Android. The instructions say I can connect wirelessly or via USB to mirror my "iPhone”, which I'm not allowed to do on the product as it says to connect Android.1. The product mix is very inconsistent. Sometimes it connects via Bluetooth, and sometimes you have to go into your iPhone, click Forget Device, and reconnect for CarPlay to work. Who wants to deal with that all the time? 2. Sometimes you can't connect to CarPlay system and it hangs on BMW factory system. The instructions say to hold down the menu button (on an EVO I have a CIC on, but they don't tell you), which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Sometimes when you connect the car and turn it on backwards and the camera turns on, it doesn't go back to CarPlay no matter how many times you press the "Menu" button on your car. But the music still works after you've played something. You have to turn the car off and on again to possibly get it to work. It's so contradictory that you never know what you're going to get. Not sure if this will work when you're on the go and need your maps.6. At first we couldn't even get Bluetooth phone calls to work, but people could hear us, and then it happened to work. We haven't changed anything. The same thing happened with a regular connection, so we don't know that we "fixed" something because we didn't change anything. This makes you doubt the future viability of his work. I'm mechanically inclined so the installation isn't too bad, but the wiring is tricky to manage. The instructions are completely useless. I've also watched videos from other places on how to install it. BimmerTech probably has a better product, but we just didn't want to spend that much right now. Maybe we'll join in, depending on what he's capable of. So far it has been a waste of time and money. The only thing that we benefit from is that we can see our map on the screen. We don't have video or mirroring function. And we don't know if he stays connected anyway, so the card is useless. Either someone needs to check and make sure you submitted the correct product and video on how to use the system, or we want our money back. I'm still waiting for a reply from them as I have very little time left before I have to return.
