Liked this more than I thought I would

Initially, I was hesitant to try this dress because the photos made the pattern look too busy for my tastes.I am glad I set aside my qualms, however, because this dress is a really wonderful outfit, particularly for cool and cold weather.Arguably the best aspect of this dress is how comfortable it is.The fabric is a 36% cotton/60% polyester/5% spandex knit, which drapes beautifully and feels soft against your skin.It is also a decent thickness that is not even a little bit sheer.Care requirement are a cold, gentle wash followed by hanging to dry, cool iron as needed, and, my favorite part, no dry cleaning. The long sleeves and full length skirt appeal to me primarily because they make this dress a perfect pick for fall and winter occasions. The fit is such that you could easily add tights underneath for extra warmth.I also love pairing this dress with solid color wraps because they can change the look of this dress dramatically by pulling forward different colors within the pattern.I would consider this dress to be modest, so if that is important to you, it's another plus. The fact that the dress has pockets is a huge pro for me because I absolutely love pockets, particularly ones like this dress's, which are big enough for me to put my entire hand into. What will probably impress most women is how this dress looks when you actually put it on.The cut of the full skirt and the faux wrap neckline is flattering for a broad array of body types. The pattern also looks better in person than it does in the photos and can be toned down further with things like a wrap, sweater, simpler jewelry, etc.The dress also comes with a sash in the same fabric that is nice and long, so you can tie it a lot of ways;though, I've been leaving it off altogether because I feel as if the dress looks better without it.In the end, my feelings about this dress became a lot more positive after I tried it on,so if your considering it, but still on the fence, I definitively encourage you to take the plunge and give it a go.

Pros
  • Machine Wash
Cons
  • Dress does not have a flattering silhouette.
