Actual size is 44mm.
The length of two connected parts is approx. 44 mm. They do NOT come with screws. They are quite sturdy for their size. The metal is too strong to bend by hand. They have a built in spring in the handle which keeps them closed if you don't place the 2 pieces perfectly but can also make opening difficult if you have fat fingers like mine. My application is a 40mm tall suitcase. I have to come up with a creative solution to make them fit together.
