Review on Loctite 483630 Thread Sealant 50 Mililiter by Darryl Blumenthal

I've been using this sealant for years! It seals in many adverse situations with loose and worn threads. Facilitates the screwing of fittings and has a long set-up time. I have used this sealer in many different applications! I've used it for many types of high pressure gases up to 250psi. I've used it on water and air. I've used it with black iron, cast iron, brass, PVC, CPVC, and stainless steel (all grades). It seals very well and eventually becomes semi-solid. It can be disassembled but is a bit stiffer than regular teflon, teflon tape, pipe grease, etc. Lighter than sealant for steam applications. I have not used it with steam! Works great on water heater fittings!. Coat all threads evenly and remove excess material on the ends or inside the pipe or fitting.
