Not what I expected but it worked

I was expecting this to dry a bit faster and be more durable. Maybe I thought it was meant to be more like a JB weld, but it seals well and is fuel resistant.

Pros
  • Pieces can be moved within 24 hours of application
Cons
  • Only available in black

Smells fantastic good for sealant

Works very well. We used this for the water heater in our RV. Several connections are provided to take the engine coolant to the water heater, so it is very hot. No leaks. And it smells amazing.

Pros
  • for dampening vibration
Cons
  • for many things

kinda dirty. but provides a better seal than PTFE tape.

I have used this sealant on my new fuel system components and it has been recommended by the product manufacturer. it seals pretty well. I am happy. but it doesn't seem to dry completely, so if you touch it for any adjustments, have a rag handy to wipe the parts and fingers.

Pros
  • Oil Pressure Blocks & Sensors
Cons
  • Fits

If you need it, know that

required for engine assembly. It works out? Many say yes, and so far there have been no visible leaks. I was delighted to get it at a great price through the "second hand" offer. So far all the 'refurbished' items I've received from Revain (myself) have been more than adequate, so I'd be a bit hesitant to continue buying when they become available.

Pros
  • oil and coolant lines
Cons
  • are very expensive

Good for threaded automotive fittings

I used this along with Loctite Klean 'N Prime for the oil level gauge. This is a high temperature pressurized oil compound. Neither Loctite 567 nor NAPA's Permatex Thread Sealant with Teflon passed the test. Recommendations: strictly follow the instructions. Make sure surfaces are clean, dry and primed. Allow 72 hours to cure for maximum strength. required for proper activation of 592 on aluminum and will certainly speed up the curing process.

Pros
  • Brake and power steering fittings

For best results read Loctite's 'Do It Right' guide

Used right and right, this material is great! Works great without an activator for brass fittings and other "active" materials. Surfaces such as iron, copper, bronze and mild steel. *Requires* an activator for "inactive" surfaces such as stainless steel, aluminium, magnesium, zinc, titanium and others. Definitely worth going to the Loctite website and reading Do It. Right" PDF for Automotive Applications. Lots of useful information on how to get the best results with different Loctite products…

Pros
  • Won't tear or wear out like tape

That works!: Car detailing

I've been using this sealant for years! It seals in many adverse situations with loose and worn threads. Facilitates the screwing of fittings and has a long set-up time. I have used this sealer in many different applications! I've used it for many types of high pressure gases up to 250psi. I've used it on water and air. I've used it with black iron, cast iron, brass, PVC, CPVC, and stainless steel (all grades). It seals very well and eventually becomes semi-solid. It can be disassembled but is…

Pros
  • Rear axle filler plug
Cons
  • Almost OK

This material is excellent for all threads that attach to oil fittings.

This material is excellent for all threads that attach to oil fittings on a motorcycle. Highly recommended. Just follow the threads. This can be a tight fit if applied at the beginning of thread application, so it is recommended to apply towards the end. I used this to install a Jagg oil cooler and it worked as it should. Jag Oil Cooler's instructions include the use of this thread sealant. No leaks or complaints. I recently put an oil drain plug on the end after an oil change to make sure…

  • Prevents leaks
