Used right and right, this material is great! Works great without an activator for brass fittings and other "active" materials. Surfaces such as iron, copper, bronze and mild steel. *Requires* an activator for "inactive" surfaces such as stainless steel, aluminium, magnesium, zinc, titanium and others. Definitely worth going to the Loctite website and reading Do It. Right" PDF for Automotive Applications. Lots of useful information on how to get the best results with different Loctite products and advice on choosing a product from different formulas.
