I received a replacement case. It worked great and I'm glad it helped me repair my broken case inexpensively. While it is true that the blank key cannot be removed from the front of the replacement shell, if your old key still works and your front is still intact, ALL OTHER NEW PARTS INSERT PERFECTLY INTO THIS ORIGINAL FRONT SHELL. This allows you to replace the backplate or keypad without cutting the key with a laser. I simply taped the loose key to the original faceplate, then replaced the broken parts with the new kit, and voila, problem solved. When attaching the key, be extra careful not to accidentally glue other parts as they are meant to be removed. PS While it's annoying that the new key is permanently secured in the case, it's a much better design than the original case and would have prevented it from breaking in the first place.
