Review on Elos Skateboard Lightweight Non Electric Transporter by Troy Caldwell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use and very compact!

A bit of background, I'm in my 30's and haven't skated in over 10 years. The COVID situation in NYC means the subway is closed for me and I must look for alternative transportation to and from work (about 4 miles). When I bought the Elos board I hoped I could learn to skate again and use it as my main mode of transportation. Wow, I was surprised how easy it is to learn! Driven around the block for an hour and I'm back. The wide handlebars and slightly stiff carts made learning easier. Thanks to the soft wheels, they easily absorb bumps in the road and are also quiet. I just loosened the carts up a bit and now I can cut easier. An added surprise is how small they are! I can take it anywhere and it never feels bulky. The handle makes it easy to carry when you stop at a traffic light or start walking. When you arrive at your destination, just lay it on its side or hang it on a table. It's small enough that it won't bother others or pose a risk of someone tripping over it. Yes there is no hitting on the board and I can't do tricks on the board but my whole idea is to use it as a vehicle and it ticks all the boxes on that front. Easy to carry, relaxed driving style and faster than walking. The biggest surprise for my wife who also wants to learn to skate on Elos! Hooray Elus! (And thanks for the bag too)
