Review on 🚰 Reusable Beverage Filtration Cooler Dispenser by Runbi Alvarez

Big. Suitable for standard office and ceramic bottle dispensers. The conical silicone discs are great

100% perfect. Installation was easy. Press down while holding to eject, or pull up and it will be locked in eject mode until you press down again to stop. I worked for a home and office water company 32 years ago which is why I installed many of these faucets. This fits a standard 3/4" hole in a slightly curved ceramic water dispenser and fits into an office style cooler with a cooling and/or heating water block. The slightly tapered silicone rubber washers provided a great seal that my old flat, hard, regular rubber washers couldn't, and I'm willing to bet they'll age well. The installation went very quickly. I took it apart almost completely and washed the pieces in warm soapy water and they came out very smooth and fit great. I didn't need a tool to tighten the nut, but I have very strong fingers. With my old faucet and its equally old flat nitrile washers, I had to twist the tools so hard that the washers deformed almost to the point of failure. I think for another 25 years or so it's all set. A simple thing done pretty well. Pro Tips 1. When using bottles in a dispenser, clean the entire top of the bottle before inserting it, not just the spout of the bottle. (I use about 195 proof vodka, it dries quickly, what's the difference if there's a few drops on top.) Whenever you clean the inside of the dispenser under the bottle (at least quarterly and preferably monthly ), remove the spout lever assembly and clean the inside of the faucet with a rolled paper towel soaked in vodka (or soapy water and rinse well). I usually remove the faucet once or twice a year; The area between the washing machine and the inner wall of the dispenser is prone to biofilm formation and cannot be cleaned.2. If your cooler/warmer doesn't have a full bottle, unplug it until it's full, then plug it back in and reset the internal clock (these units are programmed to defrost at 3am and usually use a mechanical timer). So when you unplug it, it loses time like an old electric clock, allowing it to defrost at 1pm if the internal timer isn't set correctly (no cold water for you). Leaving it plugged in without water can freeze the water in the dispenser and break the coil, or the water in the heater block will evaporate and the element will burn (I told you, I used to make a living at this).

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly
