I seem to have developed an allergy to fabric softener so I stopped using the regular versions. However, after several months without it, I felt my clothes were too stiff and lacked a pleasant smell - I use an unscented cleanser that's safe for skin. Decided to try Mrs. Meyer's remedies and while there is no sign of the characteristic rash I have experienced with other remedies, there is no strong lavender scent on my clothes either. But my clothes seem softer, so it works. I just wish the smell was more lasting.
