It may suit you, but poor design and quality.

About this product The product description says Easy to apply - no, does not work as advertised. The tape makes it work in a pinch, but the design sucks. Extra length - after you put it on MacGyver, of course. Bends up to 180 degrees - probably the only truth in advertising about this. Airtight seal - no. Scotch made a seal. Not the product itself. Easy to remove and reuse - womp womp. Duct tape is stronger than plastic so everything fell apart when removed.

It often works (but not always).

This is one of the products to look out for. It's good if the sealant nozzle allows you to properly put on a small adapter. This was the case about half the time. It's good if you have a latex seal that can be washed off with water, because after use you can clean the adapter. It works if you can't tank it; You can keep the adapter in place without too much trouble, and it's cheap enough that you'll have to drop it, well, that's okay. If you know your limits and can work within them, it works…

Terrible, just terrible. for cartridge gun

I embossed a small area and it worked. On the next squeeze, the hose dislodged from the side of the gun, leaving the union nut and sealant everywhere. I was able to finish by gluing the tubing back into the flare nut and cutting the cone off the other end so it doesn't create as much pressure. I had the latest extension when I discovered this fix. Of course, you can't apply a neat bead of caulk. I used a long screwdriver to flatten it out. I gave it one more star than it deserves because I was…

Bad design, falls apart

Great idea but really badly designed. I thought the extension was a single piece of plastic. nope It consists of two plastic parts: a base that screws onto the nozzle and a flexible hose. The problem with this design is that when the sealant is forced through the curved nozzle, the two pieces separate. The curved nozzle is pushed out of the sealant with more force than the nozzle is held at the base. I suppose you could use tape to attach the nozzle to the base BEFORE using it, but what's the…

As advertised but too difficult to use

I had to buy these to try them properly. They mostly work as advertised, which is a good thing. I found them awkward to use. The main advantage is that they carry the caulking gun at a distance, making it easier to get into tight spots. However, the extensions are too flexible for my purposes, you need one hand to hold the hose, and it just doesn't work when you have to operate the gun at the same time. I would almost prefer the extensions to be rigid and possibly different lengths for…

Fantastic results. No problems like some reviewers have.

I had to apply small, well-controlled drops of sealant in very hard-to-reach places to keep the glass from rattling in my new sconces in my theater room. I was a bit skeptical about this product due to some of the reviews about extensions not staying attached, falling off etc. I figured I could just use duct tape if needed. Scotch was not needed at all. These extensions remained firmly attached. I'm amazed that people couldn't force her to stay. Simply press down firmly on the standard seal…

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • High Price

As mentioned earlier these extension tubes will not fit standard caulking tubes that you buy from Home Depot, Lowes etc. Do not fit, thread/bite the ends of the tubes. BUT I've found that if I first soften the tip of the sealant hose with a heat gun, I can then secure the extension hose. You will need to support the extension with your other hand while applying the sealant. It kind of defeats the whole purpose of the extension tube: we need them because we can't reach where we want to apply…
