The shoes smelled and looked like a returned pair. Throw it away.
Very good shoes. BUT I WILL THROW THEM, SMELL AND LOOK LIKE USED RETURN SHOES. I have two exactly the same pair, just bought a week ago. And they were obviously new and recently cleaned or disinfected. I may be wrong these are returned shoes. It's better to throw them away than get infected.
