Review on Audio Technica AT LP7 Manual Belt Drive Turntable by Justin Goff

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Completely manual control. Amazing sound quality.

Excellent manual (old school) turntable. Takes me back to the 70's. Very high quality components. Update: Big crap! The phono stage on the turntable began to fail after 30 days. I sent the unit in for repair and it came back with the same defect. The service department was generally unhelpful and didn't take pride in looking after a 'top notch' product. Unfortunately! Update: After 3 months of endless frustration, I finally figured out the problem. My amp had a massive toroidal transformer and the tone arm picked up the noise and amplified it. I put the player on the other side of the amp and the problem was solved. Who would have thought? The unit now works perfectly and with the upgraded MC cartridge the sound is just amazing.
