Review on Klein Tools 93LCLS Self-Leveling Magnetic by Amicz Kakaruk

Decent built-in laser, but has a serious problem.

Media could not be loaded. I had a similar laser from DeWalt. I install acoustic ceilings. So I need the clip that comes with the kit that you attach to the back to attach the corner to the wall. The laser is good, assembled correctly. The problem I have is that it can be solved very easily, the magnets on the back of the laser are very weak, for my work the laser needs to be level with the corner where the laser is attached. The magnets are so weak for the laser's weight that when I press it down on the level mark on the clamp the laser appears to go down an eighth of an inch, which is not good for me because the laser is not level. Ceiling so he can mess up readings throughout the building. A simple solution to this problem would be to add 2 more powerful magnets. or the clamp mount with the middle section needs to be at least another inch higher, because when you put the laser all the way down, half of the magnet on the back opens up so it doesn't grab the metal 100%. I will be using it for a few more days but it causes problems in this area as a ceiling installer. You may need to replace it and get a DeWalt again 😐 You can imagine high end small tools, quality materials and parts before putting this up for sale. I'm sure they've been around longer, as has DeWalt. I don't understand how that could have happened.

Pros
  • Laser level with self-levelling, easy-to-read horizontal and vertical laser lines with pinpoint laser plummets for precise positioning overhead
Cons
  • Cord shorter than other picks
