Great laser for the price. Several serious design flaws.

For the price, this laser can't be beat. Unfortunately, there are two major design flaws. Neither is a deal breaker, but the battery door clamp is stronger than a professional bodybuilder. It takes a lot of force to open it. I've already cracked it too, so let's see how long the clip lasts. The laser doesn't turn off automatically after a while, so watch out for battery drain. The magnets on the back are also attached using some kind of cheap Elmer glue. If he jumped on the door frame and fell…

After a few uses, the excitement is gone

In short: I'm still using my old chalk line. I like the visual indication of a red straight line, but this item comes with a built in rotating base which I think distorts the line, makes it difficult to draw the same line twice and introduces errors into your work. I bought a laser to put up walls in small spaces but the laser base can easily flip and take a straight line and make it deviate from a point. Doesn't work well for setting any angle of inclination of the aircraft. like stairs. I…

    • Doubt

Excellent laser level! I should have bought this a long time ago as it makes layout and measurement so much easier AND faster! The spot ability "Lot" is an additional PLUS to horizontal and vertical cross lines! The only thing he lacks is the ability to stall the pendulum when the red beam is on to mark lines diagonally. Unfortunately, locking the pendulum ALSO turns off the laser. Unfortunately, for my use case, this fits the bill! It works great in daylight both indoors and outdoors on sunny…

    • Hard to say

Laser works well. The biggest problem I've had, and it's not the laser's fault, is that the laser strays from the set reference line that I have. I deducted a star because it was almost impossible to open and close the battery compartment. I thought I'd break it before it finally opens. Closing was also quite difficult and required a lot of pressure. Update: After about 2 years, the laser suddenly stopped working. As mentioned, pressing the battery cover turns it on. The problem is how the…

Decent built-in laser, but has a serious problem.

Media could not be loaded. I had a similar laser from DeWalt. I install acoustic ceilings. So I need the clip that comes with the kit that you attach to the back to attach the corner to the wall. The laser is good, assembled correctly. The problem I have is that it can be solved very easily, the magnets on the back of the laser are very weak, for my work the laser needs to be level with the corner where the laser is attached. The magnets are so weak for the laser's weight that when I press it…

Paid for itself the first time it was used. I love it!

Needing to replace my bathroom vanity, I bought this Klein laser level after watching a YouTube video showing laser levels for the carpentry showed. I set it up on the small tripod that came with the Konus spotting scope I have. I rotate the device around 3 axes and lo and behold, I can *instantly* see the orientation/orientation of the new Ikea vanity I was roughing up. Heck, I compared it to the readings on the two yellow standard gauges I own. and it is correct. PLUS: The rays are very…
