This was our second Cuisinart blender, both had motor failure. I bought this in April and now in September it no longer works. I called Cuisinart support. The phone call lasted 40 minutes. They offered to fix the base unit as it was under warranty. They asked me to ship the device to their facility in New Jersey. When I asked how long it would take, they said they didn't know. I requested a replacement unit because we use our blender daily and cannot work comfortably for long without it - they refused. The thing lasted 5 months, I will no longer support Cuisinart with an additional purchase - terrible impressions.
