Not exactly the same as Phillips II Plus

I ordered a box of these screws thinking they were identical to the Phillips II Plus screws that I love so much. A closeup photo of the Revain looks like a Phillips II Plus, but the FastenMaster screws I received don't match this photo. They look like a cheaper version of Phillips head screws. FastenMaster screws: - have no markings on the head - have protrusions on the underside of the heads, possibly self-tapping. Phillips II Plus heads have a smooth underside, which is desirable when you need to attach metal or plastic to wood. "Stoppers" should not be embedded in it so that the screwdriver does not wedge too much. thinner and less resistant coating. Maybe that's why they're darker. Phillips II Plus have a more yellowish hue. In my experience, countersunk heads reduce the clamping force. When trying to join two softwood planks together, the screw head often just sinks deeper and deeper without actually pulling the planks. I'm sure this will work for most projects, but I will pay a little more for Phillips brand quality in the future. The supplied screwdriver bits of both brands are identical in size and shape and are interchangeable.
