Pozidrive not working.

1) Pozidrive on these screws is terrible. Neither the thick nozzle that comes with it nor the regular Phillips nozzle can drive these screws. I use pine almost exclusively and they are still sheathed in softwood. This disc is a mystery to me, it's just the worst. 2) These screws are designed not to be removable. Not a single screw comes loose in the wood if it is screwed in all the way. They tend to bury their heads quickly and deeply; then they are almost impossible to dial with Pozidrive. If…

This is now the best screw before there were Phillips II screws

This type of screw was the industry standard for contractors making decks etc. It was called Phillips II. It was sold at Home Depot, Lowes and other hardware stores. But due to some legal/copyright issues they discontinued them. So contractors just bought what was new from Home Depot and Lowes, ie star or square bits. Not exactly the same as Phillips II Plus

I ordered a box of these screws thinking they were identical to the Phillips II Plus screws that I love so much. A closeup photo of the Revain looks like a Phillips II Plus, but the FastenMaster screws I received don't match this photo. They look like a cheaper version of Phillips head screws. FastenMaster screws: - have no markings on the head - have protrusions on the underside of the heads, possibly self-tapping.
