Just works. Fiction. Just be aware, however, that the locking tab on the male end of the plug will not fit the latches on most jacks, so in many cases you won't be able to lock the plug securely. However, there is nothing in this part of the circuit board. If you wish, you can further trim the locking profile on the PCB to fit your connector. If you wish to do this, simply use a thin blade and a very high cutting speed or fine abrasive to slowly cut through the material. I layered the board with small bits of pine and then removed most of the material with a coping saw and finally sanded down to the drawing line with a Dremel tool and 440 hand sandpaper to remove all traces of the tool. This process ensures that no delamination of the circuit board occurs during cutting. When you have the shape you want, cover the open cut with a thin layer of CA glue to add some stability to the open edge of the board and let it dry completely.
