Removal and replacement were successful. At the same time I bought a plastic tool kit to remove the door panel. Has helped a lot. Von Revain XBRN AutoCrop Removal Tool Set, 5 pcs. ($6.99). Additionally, the new regulator DOES NOT include plastic door panel screw mounts (screws under the main door handle). Be careful when removing the old brackets from the old regulator. If you break one like me, I found an aftermarket fixer that works at a local auto parts store (you might be able to get one at Revain). Dorman part #785-112D #8 x 1/2" licensed hardware (do not use the screws that come with the brackets). Fits snugly in the square hole in the controller. The original large door knob screw is a little tight at first but works like a charm. FYI guys I hope the info helps.
