Review on Impressive IOGEAR Compact USB-C Docking Station with PD Pass-Thru - GUD3C03: Ultimate Connectivity Hub by Charles Russell

I just bought this document because I previously had an old version. In theory (and sometimes) this is an amazing product. However, I have an issue that I thought updating to the latest version would solve, and 98% of the time my external 27" Apple Cinema Display connected to Mini DisplayPort won't turn on automatically when I connect a document to my MacBook Pro. . I have to unplug and plug the Mini DisplayPort back in a few times for it to be recognized. This problem is the only reason I bought the new version and it still doesn't fix the problem. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the display to turn on and sometimes I have to unplug the monitor for it to work. I've tried this with several MacBooks and have the same problem every time. The monitor is not recognized. Wasted a lot of money, don't be (again). I wouldn't recommend this product, but unfortunately there aren't many dock options that support a mini display. :(
