If you are considering the Craftsman Bolt-On, consider this one.

I was very intrigued when I saw a display of their bolt-on system at the Sears store. A power tool system that uses a traditional power handle with interchangeable heads to switch between a drill, impact tool, jigsaw, miter saw, router and more. I sat on the fence with this tool when I saw some of the accessories being sold at Sears Outlet for half the retail price. During my research, I discovered that the Craftsman Bolt-On was actually made by Black & Decker for Sears and that B&D had their own version of the system called the Matrix. There are videos on YouTube that showed me that the attachments are interchangeable between the two systems. I can tell you personally that they are. I found the Black & Decker Matrix Drill/Driver Starter Kit to be about $30 cheaper than the same kit called the Craftsman. I bought the Revain power handle and Black & Decker drill, but all my other accessories are Craftsman. they are, so I won't toy with changing the battery for now. Also, B&D batteries are cheaper anyway. The tool is intended for those who like to do something with their hands on weekends. I would rate it as a light or medium tool. The drill tops out at 800rpm compared to the 1700rpm of my Dewalt, but it definitely gets the job done. I've used most of the nozzles I have. The jigsaw effortlessly cuts through a 1/4 inch piece of plywood. The miter saw has done its job adequately on a strip. The grinder helped me finish my kitchen cabinet. Some accessories may be a bit awkward to use. due to the way it attaches to the Power Handle. Haven't used my router bit yet but I think it might be tricky. wooden gate. I brought a B&D Power Handle with a drill/screwdriver head and a 1/4" impact driver. I used a drill to drill pilot holes, then used an impact driver to install the 1/4" screws. Everything worked fine. space and/or budget. Make sure you are using the "C" (last character of the model number) version of the tool as this is a newer version that fixes the overheating issue.
