Review on Utopia Bedding Blackout Darkening Insulating by Los Bizness

Our house has many very large windows that are very nice, but our utility bills and furnishings are being trashed. It's hot in summer, terribly cold in winter and so bright all year round that the color of our carpets and furniture fades. I bought them in several different colors to keep the temperature more even in each room and to block glare. They are perfect for what I need. They "filter the light" more than they "darken" - so for those of you looking for a completely dark room, they won't work. Beige makes the room appear darker, but not dark. The navy blue I used in our son's room definitely makes it darker. If you are looking for blackout, I would literally go for black curtains in combination with horizontal blinds. The fabric is very nice, soft and durable. I tossed them in the dryer along with some cloth towels to smooth out the wrinkles before hanging them up and they turned out great. They are true to size. I have a 105 inch triple bay window in front of my living room. To create a "fuller look" I used 4 panels. The hinges are very wide, and wide decorative bars are placed in them. I really like them and plan to buy more for other rooms in our house!
