I bought this because my laptop didn't have a CD drive. The seller told me that they are no longer needed. And I believed him. The problem is that new devices often only come with setup information on the hard drive, and the ones that do have them usually don't have setup information online to download. Consequently. Since I use my phone for 99% of things these days, I bought it and never used it (in 2018)! So a few months ago I really needed it. I have it. inserted. Put a disk in and nada, zip, zilch! I played around with it for a few hours. After 35 years in IT I know all about connecting an external drive to a WAN. I thought to myself that after 3 years the return period had probably expired.
